We recognise that someone's world is turned upside down when they receive a late-stage cancer diagnosis and the side effects of medication or treatment can be severe. Part of our service is providing a Hug Box to offer comfort, and let someone know they are considered, when they need it the most, even if they do not have the support of a loved one nearby. Our Hug Boxes are thoughtfully curated collections designed to promote relaxation during the most challenging times. Each box contains high quality items based on feedback from individuals who have undergone chemotherapy, radiotherapy, or palliative care. We have listened to them through written forms and face-to-face focus groups.

While we would love Gifted Smile to provide a free Hug Box for to everyone diagnosed with late-stage cancer, this is unfortunately not feasible. Instead, we raise funds to gift these boxes to individuals starting hospice care with our partner hospices in Yorkshire following such a diagnosis. These funds are generated through the sale of boxes to others for their loved ones at a price that includes a small donation rather than profit. Together, we can ensure that those who will truly benefit receive one of our boxes in some manner. Please see below how to help us get these boxes to the right people at the right time.

Your donation towards the products above goes straight to supporting the gifting of a Hug Box to someone who is beginning hospice care. You can donate as little or as much as you want towards these boxes. (You will not receive the products - they will be packed straight into the boxes by Gifted Smile volunteers and handed out in our partner hospitces).

Buy Now
We understand that even small acts of kindness can have a significant effect. Consider giving a cherished individual their own Hug Box from our online shop. While we wish we could provide these free to everyone, you have the option to purchase one below if you would like to give a gift yourself to someone outside of our reach. You will receive the box through the post for you to hand out, or we can send it directly to the recipient on your behalf. The boxes are available at cost price plus postage and include a £10 donation. This contribution aids our efforts to assist those impacted by cancer in the UK. If you are in a position to make a larger donation, we sincerely encourage you to do so separately by 'donating now'.

Just Because Box
Based on feedback from supporters, it came to light that due to the beautiful contents of our Hug Boxes, people were requesting to buy a suitable version for a special someone not necessarily living with an illness, but 'just because'. In fact, they are lovely to send to someone who is a carer and needs their own big hug. We have listened and collaborated with our friends at Cosy Cottage Soap Company and have come up with a 'Just Because' Box. These gift boxes are designed to let the recipient pamper and indulge whilst at the same time providing further funds, as all the money raised from these boxes will go straight back into to helping others.
